Awarness DOG PATCHES - with professional merrow edge
A great way to make people aware of dogs with certain skills or even disabilities or behaviour issues are PATCHES. Scroll through our selection of patches, we will add more continuously.
The edge of these patches is NOT a normal satin border that you might know from making appliques and patches on the embroidery machine. The edge here has the style of those industrial made patches with merrow edge you can purchase ready-made in stores. This gives the patches a professional finish.
We recommend using polyester twill with a cut-away backing (already ironed on) and using this fabric in applique style to get great results. Just hoop a layer of 'Melt Away' and stitch out the patch, then cover the back with 'Hot Melt' to iron it then onto a garment, leash, collar or harness. Additional sewing gives a longer lasting result especially for items that are used on a daily basis.
So for making free-standing patches we recommend you get the following supplies from your nearest source:
- Melt away as a stabiliser, to be hooped.
- Batch (Patch) fabric (polyester fabric in different colours, backed with cut-away iron-on stabiliser. This to be floated on the outline of the patch (after the 1st sequence).
- Hot melt as a backing to be applied on the finished patch.
